On September 11, voices/LA invites the community to gather for a free performance of Mozart’s Requiem at Glendale First United Methodist Church, creating space for remembrance, reflection and connection through music.

About the event
An event honoring those that fell during 9/11 attacks. On the first anniversary there was a rolling Mozart Requiem concert, we are continuing this tradition 24 years later as we remember those who lost their lives. We will be performing Mozart's Requiem with orchestra and a few other smaller works in remembrance. This is a free event and has been generously underwritten by members of our local community. Please RSVP. Donations will be accepted.

Born and raised in Southern California, Soprano April Amante made her Carnegie Hall solo debut as Mrs. Sinclair in Eric Whitacre's The Gift of the Magi for the New York City premiere with DCINY and reprised it again for the orchestrated premiere at Carnegie Hall, conducted by Eric Whitacre.
